Léa Bismuth is an art critic and curator. She has collaborated very regularly with artpress since 2006. Her practice as an exhibition curator mixes literature and contemporary art. It is in this perspective that we must grasp the curatorial research program that she initiated with around thirty artists: La Traversée des Inquiétudes (after Georges Bataille, 2016-2019), at Labanque de Béthune.

Nicolas Boulard was born in Reims in 1976.
Since 2002, after studying at the superior school of decorative arts in Strasbourg, he has developed an artistic practice which draws its main sources of inspiration from local products.
As a curious and even knowledgeable connoisseur of the multiple rules that govern production and marketing, the reversals and other displacements that he operates by foiling them have, for example, led him to plant a Bordeaux vineyard in Alsace or to counterfeit a cuvée de Romanée -Conti. His work actually points to societal issues whose topicality never combines with the past, such as the definition of a territory, an identity and its limits. If the artist willingly cultivates forays into fields a priori foreign to artistic culture, his exploration of viticulture or, more recently, the world of cheeses, regularly refers him to major references in 20th century art, many of which of his works are echoed.
His artistic work has been presented in several exhibitions in the Fracs Champagne Ardenne, Alsace, Aquitaine, at MOMA in San Francisco, at the Object Museum in Blois. He currently lives near Paris.
My work unfolds as an image open to the depths of a living body, offering the traveling visitor an interior experience. It is a reflection on the birth of forms and the different times of the work, from manufacturing to destruction, to constitute a cycle of metamorphoses. My pieces are baroque entities conceived as living architectures, activated by performances, or simply by the wandering of visitors. They are developed in a back and forth movement from the structure to the surface, from the framework to the drapery, according to a ritualized manufacturing process, which takes part in the sense and the poetry of the forms it generates.
